About: Established by Mr John CHU in 1985. The company provides pioneered computer animation and digital visual effects for feature films, TV commercials, video games and themed attraction projects in Hong Kong. Staff members include producers, directors, designers, animators, software programmers and editors. It is also engaged in stereoscopic 3D film production and post-production.
Reference: The films "The Stormriders" and "A Man Called Hero" won the Best Visual Effects at Golden Horse Awards in 1998 and 1999 respectively. The film "Shaolin Soccer" won the Best Visual Effects at Golden Horse Awards and Hong Kong Film Awards in 2001. The film "Kung Fu Hustle" won the Best Visual Effects at Hong Kong Film Awards in 2004, and attained the top box office receipts in the Box Office record. The film "The Secret of the Magic Gourd", a co-production with China Film Group Corporation and Walt Disney Company, won the Best Co-production Film at the 12th China Film Huabiao Awards and the Best Children Film at the 16th China Golden Rooster Film Festival.
Overseas Credits: In 2010, the company produced a short animation video "The Dream Journey" for the United Arab Emirates pavilion in Shanghai Expo, which was ranked as "The Most Popular International Pavilion" in the survey by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. |
